General Settings
Protocol
In Protocol drop-down list, you can select HTTP or HTTPS protocol for SSO Server.
Note:
- To use HTTPS protocol on SSO Server, you must enable HTTPS connection on the DSM acting as the SSO server. Please go to Control Panel > Network > DSM Settings, and tick the checkbox of Enable HTTPS connnection to enable HTTPS connection for DSM.
- You are recommended to use HTTPS protocol for SSO Server to ensure the security for data exchange.
- When using HTTP protocol, the SSO Server will not operate normally if a client application uses HTTPS protocol. HTTPS protocol is highly recommended for all client applications and the SSO Server.
- When using HTTPS, if you use a self-signed certificate for the DSM, the browser will show a warning message and block the webpages of DSM and SSO Server. To sort out this situation, do either of the following:
- Add the DSM acting as the SSO server to the exception list of your browser.
- Export the server certificate from the DSM and import it to your browser. For more information, please refer to DSM Help > Control Panel > Connectivity > Security > Certificate.
